Elected Township Officials - Board Of Trustees
Supervisor: Rick Galardi
Rick Galardi was first elected as Township Supervisor in 2000. He brings over 30 years of independent small-business management and ownership experience to his role as Township Supervisor. Rick has served as vice-chair of the DeWitt Township Planning Commission, actively sponsored and supported extra-curricular programs for children of all ages, served as chair of the Boarshead Theater's Educational Out-Reach Program, and is founder and administrator of the annual "Good Kid Scholarship Program." As the Township's chief elected official, Supervisor Galardi's policies stress communication with residents and citizen input on our issues. Rick maintains an open-door policy and stands ready to meet with any individual, group or association to discuss their concerns or visions.
Clerk: Diane Mosier
Diane Mosier was appointed as the Township Clerk in 1990 and elected to that position later the same year. As a lifelong Township resident, and the longest serving member on the Board, her experience includes many years of service to residents of the DeWitt area. She is a past President and founding member of the Capital Area Municipal Clerks Association, and an appointed member of the Southern Clinton County Municipal Utilities Authority, currently serving on the Budget and Finance and Personnel Committees. She represents DeWitt Charter Township on the Clinton County Economic Development Commission,and was appointed by the Township Board to serve on the DeWitt Public Library Board. Along with the many statutory duties required of the Township Clerk, Diane is also an Accredited Election Official through the Michigan Department of State Bureau of Elections.
Treasurer: Phyllis Daggy
Phyllis Daggy was elected as Township Treasurer in 2000. She previously was employed for 34 years as Cash Office Manager-Head Bookkeeper for Meijer Inc. She is a member of the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association. She has completed and been certified through the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Institute, a program sponsored through Central Michigan University. Phyllis currently serves on the DeWitt Area Recreation Authority (DARA) and served on the Exploratory Committee of the Township and the City of DeWitt that created the Authority. She has resided in the Township since 1957. She graduated from DeWitt High School, as did her husband and three children. She now has grandchildren attending the DeWitt Schools.
Trustee: Brian Ross
Brian Ross was elected in November of 2008. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University and is employed by the Genesee County. Being a Federation Director for the Michigan Water Environment Association, the Chair of the Clinton County Public Works, the Chair of the MDEQ Certification Board of Examiners, an appointed member of the Southern Clinton County Utilities Authority, and a former DeWitt Township committee member, Brian has a history of local and statewide community service. Brian, his wife of 25 years Margaret, and their three children, Rachel, Bridget and Luke, have resided in the DeWitt community for 17 years.
Trustee: Stephen C. Musselman
Steve Musselman has served as Township Trustee since 2003. He completed a 26-year career in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot and staff officer, including Joint Chiefs of Staff planning and program management at the national level. Steve served as Vice-President of Programs for 17 years with SIMTEC, Inc. His education includes Pre-Med, a BS in Sociology, an MS in Psychology, and an MS in Military Strategy. He is active in the local community, serving in the Lansing/DeWitt Sunrise Rotary, Redeemer Methodist Church, the DeWitt Charter Township Planning Commission and Board of Appeals.
Trustee: David Seeger
Dave Seeger was elected as Township Trustee in 2000. As a lifelong Township resident, he and his wife, Mary, own and operate their farm as well as operating his mother's farm. Dave resides in the Bath School District, which is where his four sons attended. He is currently employed by the Office of the Clinton County Drain Commissioner as a Maintenance Supervisor. He has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Clinton County Farm Bureau. He also volunteers with the Clinton County 4-H Program as a leader on both the 4-H Council and Clinton County Fair Board. Dave served on the DeWitt Charter Township Public Safety Committee from 1991 until elected as Trustee.
Trustee: Max Calder
Max Calder was elected as Township Trustee in 2004. He and his wife, Joan, have lived in DeWitt Township since 1971 and have four daughters who attended DeWitt Schools. Max retired from General Motors with 39 years of service as a skilled trades person. While at General Motors, he also served 22 years as a district UAW representative. This is Max's second term as Township Trustee having previously served in that position from 1996 to 2000. His other public service includes the Clinton County Board of Commissioners and 16 years on the DeWitt Charter Township Planning Commission. Max is a graduate of St. Johns High School and served three years in the United States Army.
